POLICIES/FAQs

Some questions you may have are answered below. Please feel free to discuss any further queries or concerns during your initial consultation.

1.

I am a professional massage therapist and I provide massage therapy treatments only. I will not hesitate to report you to the police if you decide to act inappropriately before, during or after treatment. All new clients must complete a consultation form so your details will always be saved & will be provided to local authorities in the case of an incident.

3.

I will not tolerate any form of abuse, harassment or bullying and I reserve the right to refuse service for any reason. I believe in respect and kindness, which must work mutually. You are welcomed to vent your frustrations to me but you are not welcomed to take out your frustrations on me!

5.

There are no policies specific for COVID-19, however I will refuse service for all contagious colds, flus or skin diseases (including verrucae). You are welcomed to rebook for when your illness has cleared, and I am more than happy to provide you with self-massage techniques for clearing your sinuses.

7.

My certificates of qualifications and insurance policy are kept in my home and copies can be provided should you require. You can also verify my International Massage Diploma here: New Skills Academy. Unfortunately I am not registered with a regulatory body such as the FHT yet, so I am unable to assist with health insurance schemes, but this is something I will be looking to offer in the future.

9.

You may cancel or amend your appointment at least 24 hours prior, otherwise you may incur a £20 cancellation fee. I will, however, honour last-minute cancellations or amendments which are due to any flus, colds, viruses, or other exceptional circumstances.

11.

All clients under the age of 18 must have prior parental or guardian consent for any treatment. For all children under 16, a parent or guardian must be present during the treatment; it is also recommended for a parental presence for young adults aged 16 - 18 although this is not a requirement.

2.

Coupons & discounts are offered singularly and cannot be used in conjunction with other offers. Discounts do not apply to Add-on services or any fuel charges for mobile appointments. Concession rates are offered for those with a genuine need for financial assistance - I believe respect & trust work both ways so I will never ask for proof of circumstances & trust your moral judgement.

4.

Refunds are available in exceptional circumstances only. I provide a professional service and will always endeavour to do the right thing. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your treatment, I am more than happy to discuss your options with you.

6.

I aim to offer treatment to absolutely everyone, however there are certain conditions which may limit your treatment options (for example; I am not qualified in Oncology massage at the moment, although I am looking to train in this in future). Please be as honest as possible during your initial consultation so that I can provide the best treatment possible.

8.

Your personal details are digitally stored using Google Drive and encrypted for confidentiality. I am also registered with the ICO to ensure safe practice of storing patient records. Every session is completely confidential, however as a therapist I have a duty of care and if I am certain that it is required I may contact your GP about any serious health concerns, with your consent.

10.

A deposit of 20% is required for all party or corporate packages, retreats and large events. You can send this via bank transfer, PayPal, or cheque. You will then receive an invoice for the remaining funds which must be paid at least a week prior to the event. Please contact me if you have any exceptional circumstances which may delay your payment.
